This cookbook has been compiled from historic Girl Scout Cookbooks by Ashton Warner of Girl Scout Troop #38317 of Hurricane, WV.Ashton's Gold Award project was to help install the World Scouting Museum and its library, and catalog many of our Girl Scout cookbooks. After looking through some of the cookbooks and thinking the recipes were interesting or sounded good we thought it would be a great way to raise funds for the Museum!SUMMARY:My name is Ashton Warner and I have been in Girl Scouts since I was five years old. I have always enjoyed the community it provided. Some of my most treasured memories were created in Girl Scout camps and conventions. The friends and skills I have gained are incredibly valuable to me. When I completed my Silver Award Project during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I saw just how much you can touch others with an idea and the drive to carry it out. Since then, I have been anxious to brainstorm and complete a Gold Award Project. When I was given the opportunity to volunteer at the World Scouting Museum in Charleston WV, I couldn’t wait to get started. As I was cataloging and sorting books that contained Girl Scout and Boy Scout information for my Gold Project, I came across many Girl Scout cookbooks that had been sitting in boxes for some time. That is how I got the idea to create a cookbook compiled of Girl Scout recipes and cooking tips. “Auggie’s Eats” contains recipes for Desserts, Snacks, Cookies, and Dinners from all decades. Some go back almost 100 years! I made sure to pick food that I would personally love to make and eat. I hope you enjoy them all!All proceeds from the sale of this cookbook will be used in the general fund of the World Scouting Museum to further our Mission. We really appreciate all your support!
